Tufted Transference, 2009 materials: fabric, yarn, window screen, hand-cut metallic paper, paint, fishing line This installation consisted of a tufted hanging curtain in which I cut holes, a faux silver vent resting on the floor, a form made of window screen resembling a checkers or chess table, and a painted and stenciled wall. This piece is about the possibility of transfer and shifting of inanimate objects; the air from the vent into the room, the tufts from the curtain to the wall, the holes from the curtain to the table. |
